Can I sign the consultancy agreement as a company? What information do I need to provide you in this case?
Our agreement is a consultancy/B2B-model contract. You can sign it as an individual or a company. If you prefer to sign as a company, just make sure you fill out the fields with your company's name and business ID. You, the person that applied to Proxify, will be the only individual that is allowed to work under this contract.
What are “dedicated” and “flexible” engagements?
“Dedicated” engagements include both full-time (8 hours per day) and part-time (up to 4 hours per day), making up the bulk of positions landed through Proxify. In these engagements, your client guarantees a minimum amount of work, and similarly, you, as a member must also guarantee your availability for the same amount of work.
Occasionally, “flexible” engagements also become available through Proxify. These are typically short-term positions for a specific number of hours worked over a shorter period of time.
Will I get vacation?
For every year of full-time work with a Proxify client, you earn 24 “flex days” to use however you like—whether for vacations, public holidays, or sick days. You accrue 2 flex days for each full month worked, and they become available after completing your 30-day trial period.
Keep in mind, it’s not possible to transfer unused flex days to the next calendar year.
When planning to use your flex days, be sure to notify your client in advance. We recommend following the “rule of 5”: Want to take 5 days off? Notify your client 5 weeks in advance. 1 day off? Notify them 5 days in advance.
Can I still work on public holidays in my country or the client's country if I want to? Will I get paid if I do?
Yes, you can work on public holidays, provided your client agrees, but there are a few scenarios to consider:
If it’s a public holiday in your country but not in your client’s: You can choose to work, and it will be counted as a regular working day. If you take the day off, it will be deducted from your earned “flex” days.
If it’s a public holiday in your client’s country but not yours: This is considered a regular working day unless you and the client agree otherwise. If you and your client agree that you take the day off, it will be deducted from your earned “flex” days.
If it’s a public holiday in both your country and your client’s: You still need to confirm this as a day off with your client. If you take the day off it will be deducted from your earned “flex” days. If you agree to work, it will be counted as a regular working day.
In all cases, clear communication between you and your client is really important, to avoid any misunderstandings.
Can I work outside Proxify after signing the consultancy agreement?
Our consultancy agreement is an official invitation to become a Proxify member but it doesn’t restrict you from working with other clients/companies outside the Proxify network. However, we have a zero-tolerance policy toward “overcommitment” — where other engagements are taken on in addition to a full-time engagement landed through Proxify. So, when you start a full-time engagement with a Proxify client, we expect you to dedicate your full attention to that.
Can I receive payment in Euro (€) if I'm located in Latin America?
No, payments for members in Latin America are made in US dollars ($). Payments in Euros (€) are available for members located in Europe or Asia.
How do you handle payments for extra hours worked?
Any extra hours worked outside of the initial scope first must be agreed on between you, the client, and Proxify. Once agreed, a payment for these extra hours can be added to your monthly fee. Please note, this arrangement is not always possible so it’s important to check with your client first.
Are payments gross or net?
As a member, you’ll be paid a gross monthly amount for engagements landed through Proxify. This means it’s your responsibility to pay any applicable taxes, social security, or any other mandatory contributions according to the legislation in your tax-registered location.
Will my compensation change in months with more or fewer working days?
Providing you work and report your agreed hours, and make prior agreement with your client about any time off, you will be paid the exact amount specified in your contract. This amount is “fixed” regardless of the number of working days in a month.
Are there any instances where the fixed monthly compensation can change?
This amount is fixed regardless of the number of working days in a month. However, extra hours beyond the contractually agreed amount may be added to the monthly compensation if that has been previously agreed between you and the client.
If you for some reason work less hours than agreed, your compensation will be adjusted downwards unless you have flex days accrued to cover the difference.
Does Proxify provide equipment?
No, Proxify does not provide any equipment to members.
How do intellectual property rights work with Proxify?
As a consultant (Proxify member), any intellectual property created as part of your services for a Proxify client belongs to Proxify or the client. Anything created independently, outside the scope of your services as a consultant, even if created during your engagement, is retained by you.
Can Proxify sponsor work permit (VISA)?
Due to the nature of B2B work, we're unable to sponsor work permits or visas for members. Applicants must be legally allowed to work in their country of residence.
What is a “tax clearance certificate”? Does this have to be translated into English?
In order to receive payments through Proxify, you first need to set up an account with our payment partner Deel. During this short process, you’ll be asked to provide local tax documents. It’s usually fine to provide these in your local language.
In certain cases, Proxify may ask that you also provide a tax clearance certificate from your local tax authorities to confirm your tax affairs are in good standing. This should be shared in English or with an official translation.
